Some individuals have lower back pain or neck pain and obviously have a need for chiropractic care. But, what if you “feel fine”? Do you still need to see a chiropractor?
Chiropractors assess how the body is functioning. You may feel fine, but there could still be issues. Compare it to cancer. Cancer could be building and growing for 5, 10 or 15 years before a person notices a difference in how they feel. But, during that time, it was becoming a larger issue, even though it wasn’t causing any discomfort.
Chiropractors access the body as a whole and specifically we access the nervous system. Even though a person may feel “fine” we may still find areas that are connected as well as they could be. Performing a chiropractic adjustment will help connect these areas as they were intended and help you body function better overall.
Chiropractic care has become more widely used over the last few years and many of our patients see us routinely, even if they “feel fine”. For many patients, it is preventative care, helping their body function properly and preventing injuries or discomfort. Sports teams commonly have a team chiropractor on staff. Athletes push their bodies hard and are constantly trying to perform at their maximum capability.
It is no surprise that athletes use a chiropractor on a routine basis. In our office we see professional athletes, cheerleaders, high school athletes, patients suffering from an accident, patients with chronic pain children and teens and all sorts of individuals with regular minor back, neck or other pain.
